چکیده
Objective To characterize a case series of Colombian patients with autoimmune encephalitis (AE). Background AE is often an under-recognized entity and antibody testing not widely available in many developing countries. There lack population-based data on Colombia. Design/Methods We made comprehensive review the literature Additionally, we contacted researchers other tertiary care institutions Bogotá, Colombia to obtain information additional unpublished cases. Results 45 individuals were included antibodies identified 73.3% them. The most prevalent was NMDA followed by LGI-1. Clinical characteristics according specific similar those reported literature. Interestingly 1 patient had Zika virus (ZIKV) 4 months before LGI-1 AE, another developed immunodeficiency following related AE. A total 5 negative screen. no 7 patients. Conclusions clinical phenotypes our previously published. It important highlight novel infectious trigger postencephalitic immune mediated complication that, best knowledge, have been initial diagnostic approach can be based findings conventional tests, especially countries limited resources where accessible all clinicians.

O 16: Challenge in Diagnosis and Management of Autoimmune Encephalitis
The first description of an autoimmune encephalitis dates back to 1888, when Hermann Oppenheim described a patient with neurological symptoms but no underlying brain pathology. The field of autoimmune encephalitides associated with antibodies targeting cell-surface antigens is rapidly expanding and new antibodies are discovered frequently. Autoimmune encephalitis is a difficult clinical diagnos...

Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has dramatically changed over the past decade, and much progress has been made in improving the prognosis of RA patients as a result of elaboration of novel treatment strategies and the development of biologic agents. Nevertheless, up to 50% of patients are either not controlled sufficiently or do not respond at all to current treatments, including biologi...

autoimmune encephalitis (aiE) associated with neural autoantibodies is increasingly recognized as a cause of subacute onset amnesia, confusion, and seizures. in the past decade, several key antibody targets have been identified in aiE. These include the N-methyl d-aspartate (NMda) receptors, voltage-gated potassium channel complexes—in particular leucine-rich glioma inactivated 1 (lGi1) and glu...
متن کاملAutoimmune Encephalitis.
The term autoimmune encephalitis is used to describe a group of disorders characterised by symptoms of limbic and extra-limbic dysfunction occurring in association with antibodies against synaptic antigens and proteins localised on the neuronal cell surface. In recent years there has been a rapidly expanding knowledge of these syndromes resulting in a shift in clinical paradigms and new insight...

Mobile robots pose a unique set of challenges to artificial intelligence researchers. Such challenges include issues of autonomy, uncertainty (both sensing and control), and reliability, which are all constrained by the discipline that the real world imposes. Planning, sensing, and acting must occur in concert and in context. That is, information processing must satisfy not only the constraints...
